← All services Service 02 / Custom FPGA Design

An experienced FPGA and ASIC design team, on your project.

Architecture, RTL development, optimization, and FPGA implementation, delivered with the testbenches and test cases that prove it works. Bring us a spec, a half-finished block, or a design that needs to go faster and fit smaller.

What we deliver

Production RTL, not a prototype you have to rewrite.

  • 01
Architecture and microarchitecture. Block partitioning, interface definition, clocking and reset strategy, and the tradeoff analysis behind each decision.
  • 02
RTL development. Production VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog written to a consistent house style, parameterized for reuse.
  • 03
Testbenches and test cases. Every block ships with self-checking testbenches and a documented test case suite: directed cases for corner conditions, randomized stimulus, and coverage targets sized to the risk of the block. You keep them as a regression suite.
  • 04
Optimization. Timing closure work and resource reduction, whether you need a higher Fmax or you need the design to fit a smaller part.
  • 05
FPGA implementation. Constraints, synthesis, place-and-route, and bitstream generation on your target device.
  • 06
Documentation and handover. Register maps, integration notes, and a walkthrough so your team owns the design afterward.
Sample deliverableCustom FPGA Design
-- Parameterized, reusable, documented entity axi_stream_fifo is generic ( DATA_W : natural := 32; DEPTH : natural := 512; ASYNC_CLK : boolean := true -- gray-coded ptrs ); port ( -- write domain s_axis_aclk : in std_logic; s_axis_aresetn : in std_logic; -- read domain (synchronized crossing) m_axis_aclk : in std_logic; m_axis_aresetn : in std_logic ); end entity;
Every block we hand over ships with self-checking testbenches, the test case suite behind them, constraints, and integration notes. You should never have to reverse-engineer our RTL from a waveform.

How an engagement runs

Scoped up front, reviewed at every phase.

You always know what is being built, what it costs, and what state it is in.

01

Discovery

We read your spec or existing RTL and ask the questions that shape the design.

02

Scope & Quote

A written scope with deliverables, milestones, and a fixed price or rate.

03

Architecture

Partitioning, interfaces, and clocking agreed with you before RTL starts.

04

RTL & Verification

Development in reviewable increments, with testbenches and test cases written alongside.

05

Implementation

Constraints, synthesis, timing closure, and bitstream on your target part.

06

Handover

Documentation, a walkthrough, and support while your team takes ownership.

Devices & toolchains

We work on the parts you ship on.

Expertise spans the major FPGA vendors, with ASIC design experience informing how we write RTL that stays portable and synthesis-friendly.

FPGA families

AMD Xilinx Intel / Altera Lattice Microchip

Toolchains

Vivado Quartus Prime Radiant ModelSim / Questa Yosys
Typical projects

Where we tend to get pulled in.

  • A
New block from spec. A protocol bridge, DSP datapath, or memory controller that your team does not have bandwidth to build.
  • B
Design that will not close. An existing project stuck below its target Fmax or over its resource budget.
  • C
Vendor migration. Moving a working design from one FPGA family to another without inheriting new timing or CDC problems.
  • D
Team augmentation. Retained capacity alongside your engineers for a defined period.
Why it matters

What you get out of working this way.

Senior judgment from day one

Architecture decisions made early are the expensive ones. We get them right before there is RTL to rewrite.

No hiring cycle

Experienced FPGA engineers are hard to hire and slow to onboard. An engagement starts in days.

Owned by your team afterward

Documented, parameterized, house-style RTL means the handover is real, not a dependency on us.

Pairs well with

The other two services.

Design work chains naturally into review and remote implementation.

Tell us what you need built.

Send us a spec, a block diagram, or just the problem. We'll come back with a scope and a quote.
